(Photographer, Movie Director, Techno Producer, Art Director)

HIDEYOSHI was born in Tokyo, and from a very young age, he found himself drawn to the nightlife of the city. Almost daily, he immersed himself in nightclubs, where the vibrant music and mesmerizing visuals profoundly shaped his artistic sensibility. His creative journey began in Shibuya, where one night, bathed in the city’s neon lights, he felt a surge of inspiration. This awakening led him to self-teach the art of visual expression, so consumed by his passion that he often neglected sleep and meals in his dedication to mastering his craft.

His unique vision and growing popularity eventually caught the attention of acclaimed director Takeshi Kitano. HIDEYOSHI’s remix work in the film Zatoichi was showcased at the prestigious Venice International Film Festival, contributing to the film’s win of the Golden Lion, the festival’s highest honor. He went on to collaborate with renowned artists, both domestic and international, and high-profile fashion brands, producing a vast array of visual works.

HIDEYOSHI’s talent reached global heights when his videos were exhibited at iconic venues such as the Louvre Museum, the London Olympics, the Venice International Film Festival, and the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art.

In January 2012, HIDEYOSHI ventured into the world of music production. His creativity, honed through years as a visual artist and deeply influenced by the streets and clubs where he grew up, quickly set him apart as a producer. By April 2012, he released his first EP, and within just six months, he had produced over 100 tracks across 30 labels worldwide. His meteoric rise to fame soon led to offers for international tours.

In August 2012, his tracks ranked highly on the Beatport Top Selling Tracks in Japan, and in September, he released an album through Entropy Records in Paris. By 2014, his work had topped the Beatport Minimal Chart, earning him global recognition. In 2015, he released vinyl records through Detroit’s renowned Soiree Records.

Over the next three years, HIDEYOSHI released an astonishing 300 tracks. In September, he founded his own label, Killer Crossover, where he pushed the boundaries of experimental music.

However, despite his prolific output, HIDEYOSHI battled illness for four years. In 2019, he returned to the scene with renewed energy. That year, major international labels such as Soma Records, Suara, FLASH Recordings, Sleaze Records, Naked Lunch, Frequenza, Eclipse Recordings, Funk’n Dope, De-Konstrukt, Silve M, Luft, and Natura Viva digitally released many of his tracks.

HIDEYOSHI’s music, forged from the cutting-edge culture of Tokyo’s streets and infused with a deep spirituality, earned him the admiration of renowned artists worldwide and a devoted global fan base. His jet-black, mysterious grooves—rising from the shadows of the night—crafted a new legend in the world of club music, both in Tokyo and beyond.

His performances, fueled by daily meditation and an intense, unfiltered creative energy, captivated audiences. HIDEYOSHI’s live shows, driven by his sharp sensitivity and an almost otherworldly connection to his art, left a lasting impact on the minds and bodies of those who experienced them. A new legend was born in the global club scene, and HIDEYOSHI stood at its center.
